Playing With Your Food

Food for Thought

Antique German pudding mold from Behind the Garden Gate, in the Houston Heights

Going to the produce section of your supermarket is as inspiring as hanging out at a great art museum. Mother Nature's produce is art in its purest form. But why did she make bell peppers so beautiful, only to make them taste so awful?

And before your start defending these beauties, I'm not the only one who doesn't like the taste of bell peppers; there is a community of bell pepper haters who gather on the facebook page, I Hate Bell Peppers.

So, I'm off to make spaghetti sauce...yes, with these bell peppers...just because Tall Husband loves their taste! Oh, what we do for love.

  1. Yes, they are so pretty. You are so kind to add them to your sauce for your tall husband, I have to say, I do like them, I mean, I am not crazy about them. I don't use them in everything, but they do have a nice crunch and the red ones look nice in a green garden salad. That's my story!

    Have a great day!
