Mother Nature's Whimsy

Mother Nature displays her whimsy out behind The Bunny Bungalow on a gray, rainy afternoon.  If you use your cloud gazing skills, you will see a bunny scooting up the tree.

And is that a butterfly leading the way?

Spring: the Youthful Season

Posted by Picasa
Baby Pine cones.

Everywhere you look this time of year, there are examples of nature's youth: tiny eggshells from which baby birds have emerged; new leaf and flower buds are all around; baby squirrels, learning how to jump and chatter; even the air smells new. All this makes you feel young again, as if there are new paths to be taken.

White flowers with their subtle fragrance...all right, these are really stinky, but indulge my fantasy... are among Mother Nature's best gifts. I bring some indoors but leave most under the old pecan tree, next to the picket fence, for my neighbors to enjoy as they stroll by.
