Remembering: Three Little Fishies

Three little fishies...

Posted by Picasa
And a Mama fish too.

The fish-shaped silver foils from my chocolate fish were too pretty to throw out, besides they reminded me of a song that Nonie* sang to me when I was a toddler, Three Little Fishies (written by Saxie Dowell.)

You can find the delightful song here:

*Nonie is my first childhood memory. Family members deny that she ever existed...yet she is the one person who imbued my life with a sense of wonder, showing me that all things are possible. Someday soon I'll post about Nonie.

  1. I remember that song....great memories

  2. what memories! My mom dand that sonf to me all the time and I sang it to my son- I thought she made it up as I never heard it anywhere else,
    thanks for the memories
    and those fishes are great...

  3. Yes, thanks for bringing back the memories of me singing that song. I knew all the verses and we used to act out the song when we sang. And remember... "I'm a little teapot, short and stout. Tip me over and pour me out!" We would hold our arms out one as a handle and one as a spout and lean over. Fun!
