General Election Day: 2008

This is Thomas Nast, the nineteenth century's most influential political satirist and cartoonist. Nast created the modern version of Santa Claus; Uncle Sam; the Republican Elephant and the Democratic Donkey.

Delegates to the 1912 Republican National Convention, Chicago Coliseum. They nominated William Howard Taft from Ohio for re-election as President of the United States and James S. Sherman from New York for Vice President.

Today is General Election Day: 2008. I thought you might enjoy looking back to other times, as we vote for our future here in the United States.
