Where were you that day? Was a dear one taken from you?

  1. I was driving my youngest son to preschool and heard about the attacks on the radio. I called my DH and asked if it was real. I imagined a "WAR OF THE WORLDS" type fraud.

My B-I-L was supposed to be at the Pentagon that day, but was sent to another government building instead. We didn't know where he was, or if he was alive, for hours.

  2. I actually took the day off from work, and stayed home. Then clicked on CNN and watched the news...in disbelief.

  3. At work...trying to comprehend. We must remember those lost.

  4. Safe and sound in my home . . . watching. It was horrifying and riveting. At one point I was tempted to turn it off, as it suddenly seemed almost obscene to be watch people be turned to dust before our eyes.

But I continued to watch forcing myself to think of individual lives and not just the spectacle of it all.

Thank for for the above links Annie.

  6. I was in my apartment in NYC having coffee with one of my nieces who was visiting from Austin, TX.
The phone rang and my other niece told us that the country had been attacked and to turn on the TV.
It was too terrible to remember.

  7. Very tastefully done Annie. A beautiful reminder of something the country will never forget.
