January is a great month for bargains. And shopping is great fun but you know that. So did the famous French philosopher, writer and feminist, Simone de Beauvoir, who was born on this day (January 9, 1908-April 14, 1986.) She is quoted as having said, "Buying is a profound pleasure." Do you think she was really the first to say, "I shop, therefore , I am," and it got lost in translation?
Well, I'm busy proving that I exist. Not only did I order design books and new bathroom faucets from Amazon, but I bought this gown from Garnet Hill. All at great prices. Tall Husband liked the gown so much that he insisted I order a second one. So I did. Come to think of it, he frequently wants two of an item. Good thing I'm not a twin!
